New challenges

Hello again!

These past few weeks have been quite a challenge for us. We have been working on the video CVs with the participants of our project and also collaborating with María in some tasks of her Zero Wasteproject.

However, life had a big dare for us. A global pandemic, which we all already know, is spreading across Europe at unimaginable speed. This has caused the isolation of everyone in their homes, in order not to spread the virus, and has led us to rebuild our routine and our daily lives in the city. Also, last but not least, on the night of Sunday 22nd an earthquake shook the center of Zagreb, leaving damage and a great scare that we will find hard to forget.

Now, and until this situation improves, we work from home on the tasks that the project allows us and we contact our mentor and supervisor every week in order to do things as well as we can. We also keep our minds busy, making homemade face masks for grocery shopping moments. They are not a big thing, but it’s something.

This scenario that we are living, although it is not the ideal for anyone, is going to help us appreciate what life offers us every day. And although it seems impossible now, it is just one more experience to add, which will make us stronger and, hopefully, more supportive and empathetic with each other.
