Catching up with Jelena

Hi everyone!
I’ve been here for almost two months in project activities.
And like I said, I learned a lot of new things, especially about the Zero Waste concept.
I recorded and made videos about all the activities performed by the students of the Slava Raškaj Center – participants of the Zero Waste in HoReCa project.
I made videos of their self-presentation, which will serve as their trip to Rome and Granada. Then I made videos with motivational messages to inform the general public about the problem of waste accumulation on the planet.
I also recorded hands-on workshops where students used the groceries that most people throw away today.
I recorded their presentations, which they passed on to the lower classes.
I met with other volunteers from Spain, and communicated with them to expand my knowledge of English and teamwork.
I also translated important zero waste messages into sign language and passed on the necessary knowledge to hearing impaired people.

Evo me već skoro dva mjeseca u projektnim aktivnostima.
I kao što sam rekla, naučila sam dosta novih stvari, pogotovo o konceptu Zero Waste.
Snimala sam i izrađivala videa o svim aktivnostima koje su provodili učenici Centra Slava Raškaj- sudionici projekta Zero Waste in HoReCa.
Snimala sam videa o njihovoj samoprezentaciji, koja će poslužiti za njihovo putovanje u Rim i Granadu. Zatim sam snimala videa s motivacijskim porukama, kako bi širu publiku upoznali s problemom nakupljanja otpada na planeti.
Snimala sam i praktične radionice, gdje su učenici iskorištavali namirnice koje većina ljudi danas baca.
Snimala sam njihove prezentacije kojima su stečeno znanje prenosili nižim razredima.
Upoznala sam se s ostalim volonterima iz Španjolske, te komunicirajući s njima širila svoje znanje englesskog jezika i timskog rada.
Također sam važne poruke zero wastea, prevodila na znakovni jezik, te prenijela potrebno znanje osobama s oštećenjem sluha.
